Job Summary



As Head, of the Halal investment division you will be responsible for the development of a strategic roadmap for deeper market penetration of our sharia-compliant investment products and services clients in order to achieve set objectives. In addition, you will support the sales function of the company, contributing to the formulation of investment strategies, driving revenue growth, customer count, profitability, product development, and process improvement.



Key Responsibilities: 




  • Identify and negotiate Islamic business opportunities, developing plans to expand the Islamic business portfolio. 

  • Monitor and analyse team performance, implementing improvement strategies as needed. 

  • Analyse investment industry trends impacting the portfolio and funding strategies. Build and sustain the Halal portfolio by nurturing new and existing relationships in compliance with company policies and Shariah principles. 

  • Mobilize investments from individual and corporate entities. 

  • Liaise with internal departments and external counterparties for seamless transactions. Prepare regular reports on deposit mobilization and team activities. 

  • Engage with stakeholders, including Islamic groups and advisory committees. 

  • Develop and implement sales and distribution strategies. 

  • Coordinate with various functions to structure Shariah-compliant products tailored to client needs. 

  • Support the product team in developing and launching new Islamic Investment products and services. 

  • Ensure all Shariah compliance risks are identified, addressed, and reported during product development.



Qualifications: 




  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Master’s degree preferred. 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance, Business Development, or related areas within the financial sector. 

  • Proven expertise in managing Shariah-compliant investment products and services. 

  • Strong understanding of risk management related to Conduct, Money Laundering/Financing of Terrorism, Bribery and Corruption, Ethics, Business Integrity, Fraud, and Cybercrime. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic business plans. 

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
