Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
- Assist in the Implementation of project procurement requirements/procedures/plans & schedule
- Assist in Implementing project management procedures as regards, procurement, material inspection, handling, packing, transportation, material receipt, control and audit. subcontracts
- Assist in registration and audit assessment of vendors & subcontractors
- Review of commercial evaluation of bids, single source forms for completeness.
- Raise purchase orders, letters of intent.
- Keep records of items shipped, received, or transferred to another location
- Review vendor commercial submission for compliance with the PR.
- Assist in the evaluation of suppliers, participate in meeting with vendors, take part in the negotiation with suppliers, and manage supplier and vendor contract.
- Develop ethical relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve procurement activities.
- Follow-up PR receipt to PO creation and award of same.
- Maintains a Procurement and expediting tracking sheet
- Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
- Review vendor commercial bid to ensure reporting of any observed deviation.
Key Competencies Required
- 2 - 4 years of experience.
- Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high standard of consistency, accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage interface both internally and externally with Clients, Consultants, Sub-contractors and Partners.
- Reporting and Presentation Skills to professional Standard.
- Sound working knowledge of the oil and gas down and upstream sector.
- Good communication skills – Good ability to communicate across project teams to gain understanding of PR requirements.
- Result-driven and focussed on delivery of quality deliverables on time and within budget.
