Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to join our team.


• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.


• Accounting and Bookkeeping: Maintain and manage the company's general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.


• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, and monitor actual performance against budget.


• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insights to management.


• Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including tax laws, company laws, and financial reporting requirements.


• Audit and Assurance: Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes, and implement audit recommendations.


• Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.


• Cash Management: Manage the company's cash flow, including preparing cash flow forecasts, managing bank accounts, and ensuring timely payments.


• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors, including negotiating contracts, managing invoices, and ensuring timely payments.


• Team Support: Provide support to other departments, including providing financial data, analyzing financial performance, and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• Experience: At least 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.


• Skills: Proficient in accounting software such as SageExcellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.


• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, company laws, and financial reporting requirements.
