Description 

• Currently, we are looking for an experienced woodworker to join our team of innovative craftsmen.


• We specialize in making and installing wooden staircases, wood flooring, wood ceilings, furniture, doors and partitions, kitchen cabinet, and other woodworks, so we need an energetic and passionate woodworker with experience in these fields who loves thinking outside the box and wowing clients.


• The ideal candidate will have his or her own tools and be willing to travel all over Nigeria. He or she should also be able to operate most woodworking power tools and industrial machines like planer, thicknesser, band saw, wood lathe machines, etc. Most work is on-site, though we have a facility for pre-fab carpentry where the ideal candidate is expected to show up for work every working day.

Responsibilities

• Interpret client requests and provide mock-ups for clients to approve prior to commencing work.


• Make wood products with hardwood and softwood materials, and also wrought iron, glass, composite and other materials depending on the demand of the project.


• Supervise a team of workshop unskilled workforce and apprentices.


• Select and evaluate materials for defects.

Skills

• Interested candidates should possess an SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 4 - 15 years work experience.


• Extensive knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw and Jigsaw.


• Possession of basic hand tools.


• Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time.
