Job Description
Responsibilities
HSE Management System Implementation:
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of the company's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system to ensure compliance with applicable standards, policies, and regulations.
Toolbox Talks and Site Inductions:
- Conduct daily toolbox talks to ensure workforce awareness of site-specific risks and safety protocols.
- Carry out site inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors to familiarize them with site safety policies and procedures.
Inspections and Equipment Monitoring:
- Perform daily site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections to ensure safe and proper functioning in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA):
- Identify workplace hazards, assess associated risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Maintain up-to-date records of identified risks and implemented control strategies.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification are an added advantage.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction, manufacturing, or oil and gas sector is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering toolbox talks and training.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and recommend practical safety solutions.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
