JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing the team


• Review of proforma invoice before Import documentation starts


• Ensure regulatory requirements customs / SON / NAFDAC / EUC is in place


• Identifying the bank to process form M


• Follow up to get the Form M and LC done


• Post Shipment documentation:


• Ensuring PAAR and Endorsed documents are in hand before the vessel ETA.


• Follow up for PAAR amendments as the case may be


• Duty payment with in three working days of Vessel ETA


• Sending ECD to the respective Authorized Dealer with in two weeks of clearing the shipment.


• Managing Trade obligations with the Authorized Dealers.


• Unutilized LC, if any to be cancelled as soon as we receive the shipping documents and excess Fx to be reallocated to meet the Other Trade obligation requirements.


• Timely responding to LC amendment request and follow up for Acceptance of discrepancy and payment swift copy


• Various reports to be maintained for:


• Pending LC report


• Unutilized LC report


• Last date of shipment report for all the LC. Engage with the supplier for shipment if the shipment has not happened one month before Last date of shipment


• LC Expiry monitoring. LC to be extended / cancelled on the LC expiry date

Qualifications

• Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) qualified.


• BSC/HND in Accountancy/Economics/Business/Finance / similar.


• Minimum 12 years relevant experience in same industry is preferred.


• Prior experience/ background in trade finance and documentation is mandatory.


• Experience in working in a supervisor’s role.
