  • We are seeking an experienced and motivated HMR (Baker) Supervisor to join our dynamic team in SPAR MARKET-FESTAC location to lead our production team, ensuring the delivery of top-quality products and an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

  • The Ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 4years experience in retail or similar environment.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Oversee the day to day operations of the bakery's HMR section to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output.

  • Coordinate with the Outlet Concept Manager to plan and meet production schedules.

  • Supervise the preparation of cakes, pastries, and other HMR products, ensuring consistency and quality.

  • Develop new recipes and introduce innovative baked products to attract customers.

  • Lead, train, and motivate the production team to maintain high levels of performance and professionalism.

  • Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring team members understand their roles and responsibilities.

  • Oversee inventory levels, ensuring adequate supply of ingredients while minimizing waste.

  • Manage production costs and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines

  • Enforce adherence to food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times

  • Address customer inquiries and feedback promptly and professionally.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Prepare reports on production, sales, and operational challenges for management review.



Qualifications and Requirements:




  • Minimum of an SSCE/OND/HND/BSc in any related field. A degree or certification in baking or culinary arts is an added advantage

  • 2 years of experience in a bakery role, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.

  • In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, HMR product preparation, and food safety standards.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Proximity to the job location is a must.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Excel, Word).

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
