About The Role
- The Senior Treasury Manager will lead the organization's treasury function, focusing on managing liquidity, mitigating financial risks, and optimizing capital resources to ensure business continuity and profitability.
- Operating in a challenging macroeconomic environment, this role will play a critical part in addressing foreign exchange liquidity issues, mitigating risks from currency devaluation, and maintaining robust relationships with banking partners to secure favourable terms and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Liquidity Management:
- Ensure efficient cash flow management to meet operational and financial commitments.
- Develop and maintain robust cash forecasting models.
Risk Mitigation:
- Implement strategies to mitigate foreign exchange and currency devaluation risks.
- Develop hedging strategies to minimize financial exposure.
Banking Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and banking partners.
- Negotiate favorable terms for credit facilities and other financial arrangements.
Capital Optimization:
- Analyze and optimize the use of capital resources to support business goals.
- Monitor and manage debt levels to maintain financial health.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to treasury operations.
- Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations affecting treasury activities.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the treasury team to achieve operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in treasury, banking or corporate finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of foreign exchange markets, financial instruments, and liquidity management.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
