Job Description:



The Commercial Sales Officer is responsible for generating sales, acquiring new commercial (SMEs and Corporate) clients, and managing relationships to drive revenue growth. This role involves providing solutions, maintaining a strong customer focus to meet sales targets, and contributing to business expansion.



Responsibilities:




  • Prospect and acquire new SMEs and corporate accounts.

  • Interviews applicants and analyzes applicant financial status, credit, and collateral evaluation to determine the feasibility of granting credit.

  • Cross-sells company’s products to clients & prospects to meet individual CRO goals, specifically including depository & fee goals.

  • Achieve set asset (loan) growth.

  • Meet individual and team targets for net new revenue, new mandates, and meetings.

  • Grow pipeline of new sales and incremental business across allocated client portfolio

  • Act as a point of escalation for clients and the client service teams, ensuring the best-in-class service is constantly being delivered.

  • Complete KYC requirements within prescribed timeframes and ensure existing records remain current.

  • Remain current in knowledge of the current regulatory regimes affecting the client base, and aware of forthcoming amendments/new regulations.

  • Develop an extensive internal and external network.

  • Assist in the management of the opportunities pipeline.

  • Identify market trends, industry opportunities, and competitive threats to formulate effective business development strategies.

  • Maintaining and enhancing personal knowledge of the company’s products and services the laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures appropriate to the position.



Qualifications:




  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in commercial sales.

  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.

  • Experience working in Marketing, Sales, or Business Development related roles.

  • Strong understanding of commercial products/services and market dynamics

  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and MS Office suite.

  • Candidate must have good knowledge with a proven record of Credit/Risk Analysis Aggressive persuasion, resilience, and closing skills.

  • Strong presentation, organizational, prioritization, and task management skills

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, problem-solving & multi-tasking skills.



Remuneration:

N229,000 - N540,000 monthly gross.
