Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
- Present menus and answer questions about menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Make recommendations to customers based on their preferences.
Order Taking and Processing:
- Accurately take food and beverage orders from customers.
- Enter orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Communicate specific dietary needs or special requests to the kitchen staff.
Serving Food and Beverages:
- Serve food and drinks in a timely and organized manner.
- Ensure dishes and drinks are delivered to the correct customers.
- Refill beverages and respond promptly to customer requests.
Cleanliness and Hygiene:
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Set up and clean tables before and after guests leave, ensuring readiness for the next service.
Cash Handling and Billing:
- Present the bill to customers and process payments (cash, card, or mobile payment).
- Accurately handle transactions and provide receipts.
Problem Resolution:
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a calm and professional manner.
- Escalate issues to management if necessary.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure seamless service.
- Assist colleagues during busy periods or whenever needed.
Upselling and Promotions:
- Upsell menu items such as desserts, drinks, or specials.
- Inform customers about ongoing promotions or new items.
Job Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess an OND / SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 1 year work experience.
