Responsibilities

• Handle Conveyor belt damage on site, and repair in every condition.


• Maintain flow of machinery.


• Monitoring of belt condition regularly and repair/joining in case of requirement.


• Build/repair, fabricate, install, and vulcanize duties with rubber components and conveyor belting (lightweight and heavyweight).


• Install all types of splices, splice materials, and all related installation tools.


• Perform hot and cold repairs


• Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved.


• Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment


• Detect and report defective equipment, materials and any improper operations or unusual conditions


• Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Higher National Diploma or equivalent.


• Minimum of 3 years experience as a belt jointer, belt technician / Conveyor maintenance


• Must be able to perform hot and cold jointing.
