Job Overview




  • We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Chef/Housekeeper to manage the cooking and cleaning duties for a private household.

  • This role combines culinary expertise with housekeeping skills to ensure the home runs smoothly and the family enjoys nutritious, delicious meals in a clean and comfortable environment.



Key Responsibilities

Chef Duties:




  • Prepare and cook daily meals for the household, ensuring a variety of healthy, balanced, and flavorful dishes.

  • Plan menus based on dietary preferences and restrictions of the household.

  • Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies, ingredients, and ensure proper storage.

  • Prepare special meals for events, guests, or holidays.

  • Keep the kitchen clean and organized, ensuring all utensils and appliances are properly maintained.

  • Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Manage food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.

  • Assist with meal prep or cooking for parties and family gatherings as needed.



Housekeeping Duties:




  • Clean and maintain all areas of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and common spaces.

  • Ensure laundry is done, including washing, ironing, and folding clothes.

  • Change bed linens and towels, and ensure all areas are neat and tidy.

  • Organize and maintain household supplies, such as toiletries and cleaning products.

  • Assist with light gardening or maintenance tasks as required.

  • Run errands for the household, such as shopping for groceries or other household needs.

  • Ensure a high level of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained at all times.

  • Prepare rooms for guests, ensuring all accommodations are comfortable and welcoming.



Qualifications




  • 3 - 5 years proven experience as a Chef and/or Housekeeper, with a strong knowledge of both cooking and cleaning duties.

  • Familiarity with various dietary requirements and food preparation techniques.

  • Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations for food preparation and cleaning.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and report issues as needed.

  • Flexibility to work on weekends or during holidays if required.
