Job Summary
- This role is responsible for translating scientific information about nutrition into practical advice to help patients make health-conscious food choices.
- The dietitian will also assess, diagnose and treat diet-related problems aimed to raise awareness of the link between food and health to prevent future problems
Responsibilities
Clinical Service Delivery:
- Practice as a member of an interdisciplinary team to determine the nutritional needs of patients
- Plan, calculate and transcribe therapeutic diet for patients.
- oFeeding of the critically ill, via the preparation of Nasogastric Tube feeds.
- Responsible for the nutritional rehabilitation of malnourished adults and children in the clinic.
- Answer all questions and concerns of the patients, providing them with appropriate responses and putting the patient’s condition into the context of their needs.
- Provide advice, teaching and instruction to patients to ensure a consistent approach to patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients to maximize recuperation and to ensure understanding of the condition.
- Ensure that patients are appropriately informed and reassured of patient’s dietary needs.

- 90% of effective communication on diet administration to patients
- 95% error reduction in the development and implementation of personalized nutrition plans
- 90% of patient satisfaction scores are related to improved patient health outcomes.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Minimum Requirements: B.Sc / HND in Human Nutrition and Dietetics or Food Science / Culinary Science.
- Added Advantage: Membership of the Dietetics Council of Nigeria.
Experience:
- Work Experience: Minimum: 2 years
- Added Advantage: 5 years.
