Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly motivated and detailed oriented Procurement Officer to manage procurement processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while supporting overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement of goods, services, and supplies required for the business.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Track inventory levels and ensure stock availability without overstocking.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, pricing, and delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., finance, logistics) to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and environmental standards in all procurement activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement & Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of work experience as Procurement Officer.
Other Required skills and competencies:
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems.
- Must be able to carry out a proper market survey.
- Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
- Cost Optimization and Project Management skills.
- Great communication skills.
- Efficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good organization and problem-solving skills.
- Great customer service skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
