Location: Apata / Ibadan, Oyo
Responsibilities
Curriculum Development & Implementation:
- Design, implement, and monitor a comprehensive Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies curriculum.
- Ensure the curriculum aligns with the school’s vision and standards while addressing the needs of diverse learners.
Teaching & Mentoring:
- Conduct engaging and age-appropriate lessons in Quranic recitation (Tajweed), memorization, and Islamic studies.
- Provide mentoring and support for students' spiritual and moral growth.
Team Leadership:
- Coordinate and supervise other Islamic Studies teachers to ensure consistency in teaching quality.
- Conduct training sessions and professional development workshops for teaching staff.
Student Progress & Assessment:
- Develop and maintain an effective assessment framework to monitor students’ progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on their academic and spiritual development.
Community Engagement:
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and the broader school community to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Organize and lead Islamic programs, such as Quran competitions, Islamic assemblies, and community events.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Islamic Studies, Arabic Language, or a related field.
- 3-7 years of teaching experience in Quran, Arabic, and Islamic Studies, preferably at the nursery or primary school level.
- Strong proficiency in Quranic recitation (Tajweed) and memorization techniques.
- Demonstrated leadership and coordination skills in an educational setting.
- Fluent in Arabic and English, with excellent communication skills.
- Reside in Ibadan or within the South-West region of Nigeria.
- A passion for nurturing children’s spiritual and academic growth in line with Islamic values.
