Job Summary

• As a Tailor, your role is to be responsible for constructing, altering, and repairing garments, ensuring that each piece is tailored to perfection according to the brand’s high standards and customer specifications.


• You will work closely with the design and production teams to deliver well-fitted and aesthetically pleasing garments that align with our fashion vision.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and sew fabric to create new garments according to design specifications.


• Interpret fashion sketches and create garment patterns.


• Make adjustments to garments for customers, ensuring a perfect fit and comfort.


• Collaborate with designers to bring creative ideas to life by adjusting patterns or prototypes.


• Perform fittings, both in-house and with clients, to ensure proper fit and comfort.


• Use various sewing machines and hand stitching techniques to complete tasks efficiently.


• Maintain knowledge of current fashion trends and techniques to implement in tailoring.


• Work closely with the design team to translate designs into finished garments accurately.


• Work with various fabrics, including high-end and delicate materials.


• Maintain and organize the tailoring workspace, ensuring that all tools and equipment are in good working condition.

Person Specification

• OND / HND qualification with 2 - 4 years of experience.


• Formal training or certification in tailoring or fashion design.


• Experience working in high-end fashion or bespoke tailoring.


• Proven experience as a tailor, with a portfolio showcasing your work.


• Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and tailoring tools.


• Strong understanding of fabric types, garment construction, and fashion design principles.


• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


• Good communication skills and the ability to interact with clients professionally.


• Knowledge of current fashion trends and tailoring techniques


• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
