Job Summary



The role is responsible for interpreting schematics, selecting the right components, and wiring assemblies using hand tools. This is a hands-on position that requires technical expertise, precision, and a proactive approach to ensure the reliability and quality of our products.



Job Details




  • Oversee the production, assembly, inspection, testing, and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, Low Voltage Panels, and distribution systems.

  • Oversee day to day operations, assign tasks, and manage workflow.

  • Assembly of Electromechanical equipment/systems to engineering drawings and production timescales.

  • Diagnose and replace defective components in motors, generators, controllers, storage batteries, switchboards, conductors, switches, and various electrical fixtures.

  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in equipment and panels to ensure proper functionality.

  • Execute upgrade and major improvements to electrical plants and systems.

  • Evaluate electrical and operational problems, providing timely solutions.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to guide assembly and installation processes.

  • Operate and maintain electrical machines and instruments to ensure optimal performance.

  • Work closely with the design team to ensure compliance with project specifications, optimise costs, schedules and quality standards.

  • Oversee installations and maintenance of electrical systems as needed.

  • Perform other associated tasks as assigned by Line Manager.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical assembly, installation, or maintenance, preferably in a similar industry. 

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to electrical work.

  • Strong technical and analytical skills.

  • Proficient in the use of electrical testing and diagnostic tools.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
