Job Description
- This role is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the nursing team, ensuring the implementation of quality care for patients while helping them restore good health and well-being.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Work alongside other matrons to coordinate all nursing staff duties and responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the unit, ensuring the implementation of quality nursing care for patients.
- Ensure discipline in the nursing department.
- Establish and coordinate good working relationship with other departments to promote a culture of safety, quality and risk management.
- Promote and imbibe in all nursing staff the need for proper, complete and accurate documentation in patients records.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance patient experience, satisfaction and engagement.
- Participate in recruitment, induction and training of nurses.
- Enforce conformity with Standard Operating Procedures and policies/ adherence to quality standards.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement project.

Job Qualifications
- Post-Basic Qualification; (Midwifery, Perioperative Nursing etc.)
- RN, BNSC
- Valid nursing practicing license.
- Post-graduate qualification in Nursing, Public health etc. will be an added advantage
- Nursing administration/Hospital management Diploma, an added advantage.
