Job Summary
- The business development manager help grow Halo’s business by identifying new business prospects, generating leads and closing sales in order to drive deposits, increase revenue and grow the customer base. Serves as the main point of contact for high-volume/group sales in the formal sector. Maintains customer and prospect database, compiles regular sales reports and monitors progress towards agreed revenue and customer acquisition targets.
- The ideal candidate will have experience in group/corporate sales, a strong corporate network, excellent oral and written communication skills, good presentation skills, and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
Job Description
- Deposit mobilization (Savings and investments)
- Manage different group of informal sector’s portfolio
- Relationship management.
- Creation of quality risk assets
- Generation of credits e.g., Trade Finance and Loan transactions etc.
- Coordinate activities as relationship manager
- Grow revenue on a month-on-month basis
- Deploy the digital bank’s channels across different customer segments within group members
- Onboarding of customers across the digital bank’s channels (Halo Invest, Halo Direct)
- Contribute significantly to Halo’s profitability.
- You oversee and lead effective relationships across industry players like SMEs, Corporates and other stakeholders.
- Organize, participate in internal/external events and prepare relevant promotional presentations and other materials as and when required.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure effective and follow-up of business leads.
- Coordinate with relevant internal processes and ensure smooth cooperation with Halo Invest services (legal, risk management, compliance etc.) in the context of new portfolio transactions.
- Contribute to the creation of credit proposals and presentations to new and/ or existing clients.
- Contribute to company innovation, knowledge base, and marketing/sales efforts.
Educational Qualifications
- B.Sc. Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Master of Business Administration, and any other relevant field
- CIBN certification is an added advantage.
Other Requirements:
- You are highly entrepreneurial, collaborative, and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- You are well versed in the local Nigerian economy and culture, and understand the local context, the regulatory framework, the competition in different sectors and the distribution channels as well as industry trends and financial considerations.
- Have good Industry knowledge vis a vis deposit and lending dynamics and application in customer acquisition and retention.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team to achieve a common goal.
- Ability to deliver consistently on set targets.
- Ready and willing to bring in funds for deposit mobilization from current portfolio on or before resumption or assumption of duty.
