  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the travel and tour business unit. This role involves developing innovative travel solutions, optimizing business processes, driving profitability, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards. The ideal candidate must possess deep industry knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a track record of delivering sustainable growth in a competitive market.



KEY DUTIES




  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including airlines, hotels, and tourism boards, to drive partnerships and revenue growth.

  • Lead the development of innovative travel packages, corporate travel solutions, and loyalty programs tailored to diverse customer needs.

  • Monitor market competition and implement strategies to enhance market share.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

  • Develop and manage budgets, financial targets, and performance metrics for the business unit.

  • Implement systems and processes to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and ensure operational excellence.

  • Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.

  • Set and uphold exceptional customer service standards across all touchpoints.

  • Analyze customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.



KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE



KNOWLEDGE (include technical knowledge):




  • Strong knowledge of the travel industry, including ticketing, tour operations, and corporate travel management.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret market data and develop actionable insights.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in using travel management software and digital tools to enhance business operations.



QUALIFICATIONS:



Essential




  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Tourism Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven experience in business development, strategic planning, and operational management.
