- We are seeking an Account Associate to assist in the preparation of financial statements, maintenance of accounting records, and provision of financial support to the management team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as assisting in the implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management and external stakeholders.
Accounting Records:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:
- Process and pay invoices, as well as manage the accounts payable function.
- Manage the accounts receivable function, including invoicing and collection of debts.
Inventory Management:
- Assist in the maintenance of accurate inventory records, including tracking of inventory levels and valuation.
- Ensure compliance with inventory accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Financial Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of financial analysis and reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support business decision-making.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and standards, including tax laws and accounting standards.
Internal Controls:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls, including financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure that financial transactions are properly authorized, recorded, and reported.
Audits and Reviews:
- Assist in the preparation for and coordination of external audits and reviews.
- Ensure that financial records and statements are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Professional certification, such as ICAN, is an added advantage
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Proficient in Excel, including ERP systems and accounting packages.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
