Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging robotics lessons for students across various age groups.
- Integrate robotics into a comprehensive STEM curriculum, focusing on hands-on learning and problem-solving.
- Teach coding languages such as Python and C++ to students interested in robotics and automation.
- Instruct students on the principles of electronics and circuit design as applied to robotics.
- Guide students through project-based learning experiences where they design, build, and program robots.
- Prepare students for robotics competitions by teaching advanced robotics techniques and strategies.
- Design and refine a robotics curriculum that aligns with educational standards and industry trends.
- Supervise and support extracurricular robotics clubs, fostering a community of robotics enthusiasts.
- Manage a robotics lab, ensuring equipment is maintained and safe for student use.
- Teach concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning as they apply to robotics.
- Integrate educational technology tools and platforms to enhance robotics learning experiences
- Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student learning outcomes in robotics.
- Guide students in conducting robotics research projects, encouraging innovation and experimentation.
- Oversee all aspects of a school's robotics program, including curriculum development, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Organize guest lectures and demonstrations by robotics experts to inspire students and provide practical insights.
- Introduce students to 3D printing, laser cutting, and other digital fabrication techniques relevant to robotics.
- Update all statutory records such as the Scheme of Work, Attendance Register, Mark-Sheets, Psychomotor and Affective domains in the Diary.
- Plan, prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students
- Any other duties assigned.
Education and Work Experience
- A first degree or its equivalent in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or any other related technology field.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience.
- Skills and Competences
- Proficiency in teaching curriculum-based Robotics and Computer Science.
- Classroom management.
- Excellent problem analysis and solving skills.
- Holistic understanding of the various IT areas in a school.
- Technical knowledge of Robotics, IT and internet services
- Excellent communication skills.
