Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Language Teacher to join our educational institution in Benin City, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching English and committed to fostering a positive learning environment for students.

• Develop and deliver engaging English language lessons for students of various proficiency levels


• Create and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials aligned with educational standards


• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their language development


• Utilize diverse teaching methods and technologies to accommodate different learning styles


• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress


• Provide additional support to students through one-on-one tutoring or small group sessions as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field


• Proven teaching experience, preferably in English


• Native-level fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Strong knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation


• Proficiency in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom management


• Familiarity with language acquisition theories and modern teaching methodologies


• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment


• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity


• Proficiency in using educational technology and multimedia resources in the classroom


• Excellent time management and organizational skills


• Patience, creativity, and adaptability in addressing diverse student needs
