Job Description



We seek a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Classroom Teacher to support the educational needs of students in our [grade level/subject] classroom. The successful candidate will assist the Lead Classroom Teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.



Key Responsibilities:



Instructional Support:




  • Assist the Lead Teacher in lesson planning and delivery.

  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.

  • Lead small group instruction and activities.

  • Monitor student progress and report concerns to the Lead Teacher.



Classroom Management:




  • Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful classroom environment.

  • Assist with classroom setup and preparation.

  • Supervise students during transitions and activities.

  • Manage student behavior and report incidents to the Lead Teacher.



Collaboration:




  • Work closely with the Lead Teacher to achieve instructional goals.

  • Participate in department meetings and professional development.

  • Collaborate with other support staff (e.g. special education).

  • Communicate with parents/guardians through regular updates.



Administrative:




  • Maintain accurate records of student progress.

  • Assist with grading and feedback.

  • Prepare instructional materials and resources.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Requirements:




  • Associate's degree or higher in Education or related field.

  • Teaching certification 

  • 1-2 years of experience in education or related field.

  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work with diverse student populations.



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience working with students

  • Familiarity with curriculum design and implementation.

  • Knowledge of educational technology.

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.

Qualifications




  •  NCE or related field.

  • Teaching certification
