We seek a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Classroom Teacher to support the educational needs of students in our [grade level/subject] classroom. The successful candidate will assist the Lead Classroom Teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Support:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in lesson planning and delivery.
- Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Lead small group instruction and activities.
- Monitor student progress and report concerns to the Lead Teacher.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom setup and preparation.
- Supervise students during transitions and activities.
- Manage student behavior and report incidents to the Lead Teacher.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Lead Teacher to achieve instructional goals.
- Participate in department meetings and professional development.
- Collaborate with other support staff (e.g. special education).
- Communicate with parents/guardians through regular updates.
Administrative:
- Maintain accurate records of student progress.
- Assist with grading and feedback.
- Prepare instructional materials and resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher in Education or related field.
- Teaching certification
- 1-2 years of experience in education or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with students
- Familiarity with curriculum design and implementation.
- Knowledge of educational technology.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
