Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Account Officer to manage daily financial operations and ensure accurate financial records.
Basic Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Account Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Pastel) and MS Office.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
Job Description Summary:
- Liaise with outlets to collect daily sales data and confirm cash/cheques deposited into the bank. Reconcile sales data with physical documents and prepare revenue trackers.
- Post receipts promptly and ensure no unposted transactions exceed this timeframe.
- Coordinate procurement activities by liaising with suppliers and contractors, managing market purchases, and ensuring inventory supplies meet specifications before receiving into stock.
- Prepare and manage payment schedules, post cheques/payment vouchers, and ensure timely remittances of statutory obligations, including VAT, WHT, pension, and PAYE.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
