Job Description
The B2B Sales Lead will implement strategic plans to grow the B2B channel, onboard corporate accounts, and drive market penetration through effective customer engagement, sales growth, and data-driven decision-making. The role requires strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a results-oriented approach to achieving the company’s goals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Channel Development
- Execute strategic plans set by the Channel Development Manager to achieve B2B channel growth objectives.
- Identify and recruit qualified corporate accounts for onboarding to expand distribution channels.
- Drive the recruitment and expansion of the input customer base to meet business growth targets.
Sales and Customer Engagement
- Upsell and cross-sell products to existing customers in line with defined growth objectives.
- Ensure strong relationships with customers by addressing their needs promptly and providing exceptional service.
Market Analysis and Reporting
- Conduct timely market surveys to identify market trends, customer preferences, and the competitive landscape.
- Develop and present comprehensive sub-channel performance reports on a weekly/monthly basis to track key metrics.
Trade Investment Ownership
- Manage investments in trade channels to deliver the desired ROI while optimizing resource allocation.
Collaboration and Communication
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Production, and Finance teams, to ensure alignment on strategies and activities.
- Regularly update the Channel Development Manager and other stakeholders on progress and challenges.
Educational Qualifications, Experience & Requirements
- Minimum of B.Sc./BA or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience in FMCG, with expertise in modern trade, open markets, and distribution channels.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills; data-driven decision-making ability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software applications, including ERP systems.
