We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Account Reconciliation: Reconcile company accounts, including bank statements, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
Journal Entries and Ledger Maintenance: Prepare and post journal entries, and maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable: Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, and credit management.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including preparing financial models and analyzing financial data.
Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
Internal Controls: Maintain and implement internal controls to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and validity of financial data.
Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (2.1) or HND (Upper credit) in Accounting or related field.
Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
Experience: Minimum 2 - 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar industry.
Skills: Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
