Key Responsibilities
Procurement Planning:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with company standards.
Sourcing and Negotiation:
- Source materials, equipment, and services required for construction projects.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to ensure cost-efficiency and quality.
Inventory and Logistics Coordination:
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the storekeeper to ensure stock availability.
- Arrange transportation and delivery schedules for purchased materials.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect and verify the quality of materials upon delivery to ensure they meet specifications.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues with suppliers.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
Cost Management:
- Monitor procurement expenses and ensure alignment with project budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular procurement reports to management.
- Provide updates on procurement activities and any risks that may impact project timelines.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with at least 3 years experience.
