Role Purpose
- As a Senior Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing equipment and materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality and cost efficiency in procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing:
- Purchase goods, materials, and services aligned with cost, quality, and delivery goals.
- Negotiate contracts and identify savings opportunities.
- Assess and review supplier performance for continuous improvement.
Market Research:
- Monitor trends, competitor activities, and supply chain dynamics to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Process Innovation:
- Develop procurement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and value creation.
Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support new projects and operational needs.
- Manage supply chain challenges and communicate changes effectively to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical (Engineering) or related fields; professional procurement certification preferred.
- MBA/M.Sc. is an advantage.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, with at least 6 years in a similar role.
- Proven expertise in FMCG/Manufacturing industries and managing significant procurement budgets.
- Strong negotiation, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management skills.
