Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure cleanliness of surroundings and sterilization/sanitation of kitchen prep area and food trays.
- Mopping and sweeping the kitchen areas as required.
- Removing garbage, replacing garbage bags, and washing garbage cans.
- Clean floors, dishes, burners, and pots.
- Prepare for opening the next morning by cleaning and shutting down fryers and broilers.
- Work well with other employees on the cleanliness of areas assigned a variety of services property policies and procedures-oversee own responsibilities
- Remove wash dishware, flatware, and glassware from the dishwasher and stack them according to size and likeness for future use.
- Sanitize heavy equipment including dishwasher, mixer, and slicer.
- Responsible for floor care, performing various surface tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and spot-cleaning carpets in all office areas.
- Responsible for the maintenance of tables, chairs, and counters, carrying out tasks such as dusting, spraying, and cleaning
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements, Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma / NCE / OND, or its equivalent.
- 0-3 years proven experience assisting in kitchens.
- A food handler's license Is an Added Advantage
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work in a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ready to work 6 days a week.
- Proximity to Victoria Island is preferred.
