Description

• Are you passionate about music and intellectual property? The Musical Copyright Society Nigeria (MCSN) is seeking a proactive and resourceful Licensing Executive to build and maintain licensing partnerships while ensuring the lawful use of musical works and sound recordings across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• License Acquisition and Management: Proactively engage with broadcasters, digital platforms, event organizers, and businesses to secure and manage licensing agreements.


• Revenue Optimization: Identify and pursue opportunities to maximize licensing revenue and ensure equitable royalties for rights holders.


• Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with licensees, addressing their needs and providing expert guidance on copyright compliance.


• Contract Administration: Draft, review, and finalize licensing agreements to ensure clarity, compliance, and mutual understanding.


• Compliance Monitoring: Track the use of licensed content, enforce copyright protections, and ensure adherence to agreements.


• Market Research and Reporting: Analyze industry trends, compile detailed licensing activity reports, and provide insights for.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law, Music Business, or a related field.


• Proven experience in licensing, sales, marketing, business development, or rights management is an advantage.


• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Competent using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.


• Passion for music and the creative industries is a plus.
