Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple financial tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Budgeting and Reporting:
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Tax and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and file tax returns, VAT, and other financial documents.
Auditing and Reconciliation:
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to verify accuracy.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Cost Control:
- Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor expenses to ensure adherence to budgets.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Assist in payroll processing and employee benefit calculations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or HND or OND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certification: Chartered Accountant (ICAN) is an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally) or Excel and MS Word.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
