Responsibilities




  • Develop and manage fleet operating budgets.

  • Track and analyze fleet costs, including fuel, maintenance, insurance, and depreciation.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fleet management plan.

  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, insurance, and licensing for all fleet vehicles.

  • Ensure that all fleet vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.

  • Implement and oversee driver safety programs, including training, compliance, and risk management.

  • Manage the fleet budget, including forecasting costs for repairs, replacements, and operational expenses.

  • Implement safety programs and initiatives.

  • Investigate and address safety incidents.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise drivers, ensuring they have the necessary qualifications and certifications.

  • Monitor driver behaviour, including adherence to safety protocols, driving habits, and compliance with company policies.

  • Implement driver training programs to promote safe driving practices and minimize accidents.

  • Liaise with other departments to ensure fleet availability meets business needs.



Requirements




  • HND / B.Sc in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Proven experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation operations.

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, regulatory compliance, and safety standards.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency with fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with GPS tracking systems and telematics.

  • Ideal Candidates will be resident in Ogijo, Ogun State or willing to relocate to Ogijo at their own expense.
