Role objective
To enhance the significance of strategic HR within the organisation and ensure the long-term success of both the HR function and the company as a whole.
Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s HR department.
- Develop and implement strategic HR plans and policies to support the company’s mission and strategy.
- Collaborate with management team to uphold the company’s vision and mission.
- Lead the process of developing strategic HR plans and policies (hiring, L&D, compensation ,etc.)
- Guide and evaluate the work of HR specialists in the department.
- Continually analyse and improve the effectiveness of HR operations and policies.
- Guarantee that all policies and procedures comply with legal regulations and best practices.
- Continually re-engineer processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
Specification
- Food processing background can demonstrate problem-solving capabilities.
- Leadership qualities, strategic thinking abilities, and effective people management skills.
- Experience as HRM or HHR or other senior HR role in dairy or food processing.
- Experience in strategic planning and implementation.
- Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, selection and hire, etc.)
- Ability to use metrics and analytics.
- Knowledge of Nigerian labour law, agricultural and factories regulations.
