Role objective



To enhance the significance of strategic HR within the organisation and ensure the long-term success of both the HR function and the company as a whole.



Responsibilities




  1. Lead the company’s HR department.

  2. Develop and implement strategic HR plans and policies to support the company’s mission and strategy.

  3. Collaborate with management team to uphold the company’s vision and mission.

  4. Lead the process of developing strategic HR plans and policies (hiring, L&D, compensation ,etc.)

  5. Guide and evaluate the work of HR specialists in the department.

  6. Continually analyse and improve the effectiveness of HR operations and policies.

  7. Guarantee that all policies and procedures comply with legal regulations and best practices.

  8. Continually re-engineer processes to ensure maximum efficiency.



Specification




  1. Food processing background can demonstrate problem-solving capabilities.

  2. Leadership qualities, strategic thinking abilities, and effective people management skills.

  3. Experience as HRM or HHR or other senior HR role in dairy or food processing.

  4. Experience in strategic planning and implementation.

  5. Deep knowledge of HR functions (talent management, selection and hire, etc.)

  6. Ability to use metrics and analytics.

  7. Knowledge of Nigerian labour law, agricultural and factories regulations.
