Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing all HR and administrative activities at the factory, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a disciplined workforce. This position requires a firm and decisive individual with extensive knowledge of factory staff management, labor laws, and HR best practices to drive productivity and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes for factory staff.
- Enforce company policies and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Manage employee relations, including resolving grievances and handling disciplinary actions decisively.
- Monitor staff attendance, leave, and performance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Implement and maintain an effective performance management system.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve employee engagement and morale.
- Coordinate training and development programs tailored to factory operations.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in the factory.
- Oversee administrative functions, including facility management, vendor coordination, and office supplies.
- Prepare and present HR reports to management, offering insights and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR and administrative roles, with at least 3 years in a factory or manufacturing setting.
- In-depth knowledge of factory staff management and labor law compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to make firm, fair, and timely decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software tools.
- Membership in professional bodies (e.g., CIPM, SHRM) is an added advantage.
