Job Description
Job Purpose
- This role is responsible for setting the procedures, guidelines and direction for security policies that are meant to protect our people, partners & organizational assets from internal as well as external threats – from employees and vendors.
- This role has responsibility for security operations across all Beta Glass Operations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop appropriate security policies and procedures
- Implement the organization's security policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the security compliance activities.
- Provide direct security & safety training to the workforce.
- Monitor compliance with the organization's security policies and procedures among employees, contractors, alliances and other third parties and takes corrective action.
- Manage safety & security incident responses.
- Monitor internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels and security clearances are maintained.
- Performs security risk analysis and periodic activity reviews for security processes.
- Serve as an internal security consultant to the organization.
- Monitor advancements in security technologies.
- Monitor changes in legislation and accreditation standards that affect security.
- Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to foster safety & security awareness within the organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Law or related fields
- 7-10 years experience in security management
- Background in military / paramilitary operations an advantage
- Extensive ability to plan, design, develop, test, implement and monitor security systems.
- Experience must include hands-on responsibility for the full scope of safety & security management
- Experience with a wide range of relevant systems, and security monitoring and detection tools.
