Job Description

• Perform a variety of routine blood drawing procedures.


• Receiving patients to the lab in a friendly manner and thereby creating a great experience


• Record appropriate collection information on proper requisitions.


• Maintain specimen integrity by using an aseptic technique and observing isolation procedures.


• Track collected specimens by initialling, dating, noting collection time and maintaining daily tallies of collections performed.


• Explain blood, tissue or fluid collection procedures to patients clearly, concisely, and understandingly.


• Organize or clean blood-drawing trays, ensuring that all instruments are sterile.


• Arrange and clean the working bench twice daily following cleaning procedure in the lab.

Qualifications

• B.Sc / HND in Science Laboratory Technology or other related fields.


• Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in a hospital or clinical setting.


• Valid registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria and must be licensed to practice.


• Ability to manage confidential data.


• Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to details.


• Candidate should reside within Kaduna and its environs.
