Division: Human Resources



Mission:




  • Design and/or implement learning programs and career development frameworks to enhance employee capabilities across technical, leadership and soft skills domains.

  • Lead talent assessment and succession planning initiatives to identify high-potential employees and create structured development paths for critical roles.

  • Partner with business leaders to analyze skill gaps and develop targeted training solutions that align with organizational strategy and demands of both the telecoms and technology industries.

  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of learning programs through KPIs, feedback mechanisms and ROI analysis to ensure continuous improvement and business impact.



Description:




  • Assist in the implementation of Talent Development initiatives and monitor implementation of talent/succession plans for talent pool candidates.

  • Manage learning budget and resources efficiently.

  • Develop customized learning plan as an outcome of capability gap assessment deployed.

  • Collaborate with business leaders on learning and talent initiatives.

  • Curate personalized learning recommendation to employees to close identified gaps.

  • Identify and document participant tracking methods and MTNN accountability requirements.

  • Develop periodic reports and statistics on learning related activities in the organization and participants’ progress

  • Generate talent/ succession planning, career management and employee development reports as required.

  • Analyze and provide statistical data in relation to career management, employee development and succession readiness.

  • Support in the preparation of the required documentation for talent review and participate in development/career management discussions.

  • Collate employee career development plans and maintain all employee career/ development records in appropriate database.

  • Provide administration support for MTN’s Leadership Talent Management programme and other development initiatives.

  • Provide required support in driving and implementing business initiatives of assigned divisions.

  • Provide support for career management function, educating staff on career management options, rules and related matters and 

  • assisting in career development campaigns.

  • Facilitate completion of any personality/strengths assessments to be deployed to employees

  • Facilitate e-learning utilization as part of MTNs 70:20:10 Philosophy.

  • Develop and maintain related training policies, procedure and guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate learning records.

  • Support succession planning and leadership development.

  • Analyze learning metrics.

  • Communicate learning and career opportunities.

  • Ensure 100% compliance with stipulated regulatory training requirements from ITF and others.

  • Administer learning management systems (LMS).

  • Track and monitor employees’ career within MTN and ensure the career management system is updated accordingly in response to approved employee movement or status changes.

  • Manage and evaluate vendors and consultants as they relate to continuing education services.

  • Provide appropriate information and advice to MTNN employees wishing to pursue a programme and / or those already on the scheme. (Information such as late registration, assignment submission, withdrawals, etc.).



Education:




  • First degree in any related discipline 

  • Fluent in English

  • Affiliation with HR professional body – CIPM, HRCI, SHRM, ATD, NITAD



Experience:



3-7 years’ experience which includes




  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising others

  • Experience working in a medium-sized organization
