Job Summary:



The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for providing comprehensive cost management and quantity measurement services for construction projects at Mshel Construction. This includes preparing detailed cost estimates, valuations, and quantity calculations at all stages of the construction process.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, including material schedules, labor and equipment requirements, and subcontractor costs.

  • Measure and quantify construction work completed for progress payments and final accounts.

  • Analyze and validate contractor, subcontractor, and supplier claims.

  • Participate in project cost control, forecasting, and reporting to the project management team.

  • Identify risks and opportunities related to construction costs and provide recommendations.

  • Assist with preparing tender documents, contract negotiations, and change orders.

  • Maintain comprehensive project cost records and documentation.

  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely and accurate cost management.

  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to the project team on cost-related matters.

  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.



Qualifications and Skills:




  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the project team.

  • Understanding of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation techniques.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
