Key Responsibilities

• Client consultation: Assessing client's hair needs and desired style to recommend suitable haircuts, colors, and styling options.


• Hair cutting: Performing various hair cutting techniques like trims, layers, texturizing, and shaping.


• Hair coloring: Applying hair color including highlights, ombre, balayage, and solid colors.


• Styling: Blow drying, curling, straightening, braiding, and creating updos based on client requests.


• Hair care advice: Recommending appropriate hair care products and styling techniques for home maintenance.


• Salon hygiene: Keeping the workstation clean and sanitized, following sanitation protocols.


• Customer service: Building rapport with clients, managing appointments, and addressing concerns.


• Trend awareness: Staying updated on the latest hair trends and techniques.


• Product knowledge: Understanding and recommending salon retail products.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Candidates should possess Bachelor's Degrees with 3 - 5 years relevant work experience.


• Strong communication skills: Effectively listening to client needs and clearly explaining procedures


• Fine motor skills: Precise hair cutting and styling techniques


• Artistic vision: Understanding of facial features and hair types to create flattering styles


• Cosmetology license: Valid state license required to practice hairdressing


• Sales skills: Ability to recommend and sell salon products.

Work Environment:

• Primarily in a salon setting, interacting with clients one-on-one


• May involve flexible scheduling to accommodate client appointments
