Overview




  • Our client is seeking a Finance/Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting, financial planning, and budgeting.

  • This role involves maintaining compliance with financial regulations, ensuring efficient cash flow management, managing accounts payable/receivable, and contributing to the company’s financial strategy.

  • The manager will also support business growth by providing financial insights and ensuring the financial health of projects.



Design and Engineering:




  • Develop and review mechanical designs, calculations, and technical drawings for upstream oil and gas facilities (e.g., pipelines, compressors, rotating equipment).

  • Ensure designs meet project specifications, codes, standards (API, ASME, ISO), and client requirements.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, equipment selection, and material specifications.

  • Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and fatigue studies as needed for mechanical systems.



Project Management:




  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, civil, and electrical engineers, to deliver EPCM projects.

  • Prepare mechanical scopes of work, project schedules, and budgets.

  • Supervise mechanical equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.

  • Conduct risk assessments and provide technical solutions during project execution.



Maintenance and Troubleshooting:




  • Develop maintenance strategies for mechanical equipment, including rotating and static equipment.

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues, including pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and compressors.

  • Optimize mechanical system performance and reliability.



Compliance and Safety:




  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations.

  • Conduct mechanical inspections and ensure compliance with Nigerian regulations and international standards.

  • Prepare and review technical reports, method statements, and as-built documentation.



Experiences and Competencies Required




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Professional engineering certification is an advantage.

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations or EPIC projects.

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems in exploration and production facilities.

  • Familiarity with equipment such as compressors, separators, pipelines, and rotating machinery.

  • Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, or CAESAR II).

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and industry best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for cross-discipline collaboration.



Other Requirements:




  • Willingness to travel to project sites, offshore platforms, or fabrication yards as needed.

  • Ability to work in challenging environments with tight deadlines.
