Job Overview




  • Sales Manager for SE will be in charge business development across Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Imo & Ebonyi and neighbouring states. The candidate must possess industry experience in relevant commodity (focus on Vegetable Oil Distribution) and must have mid-level managerial fitness for understanding and driving strategic business goals.

  • This role will include developing regional tactical plans & executing same, aggressive customer base development, unlocking new channel for growth, and translating potentials into sales revenue in the market.

  • He will cover all key customer and markets within the region and environs to create demand and handle all other marketing and sales related activities for Saro Agro-Allied brands and products.

  • He will collaborate with other functions to ensure profitable growth of the region.

  • He will take full ownership of business objectives, resource allocations & optimizations within the region.



Key Responsibilities




  • Responsible for identifying& recruiting key customers for Soybean Oil (RSO/CSO/BSO) to target

  • Ensure placement and merchandizing key SKU's in relevant channels (including HSM) for visibility and offtake

  • Ensure understanding of their local needs, behaviours & buying patterns and categorize them appropriately

  • Enumerate all open market and HSM within territory, and develop a customer database within them for Refined consumer soya oil and Rice

  • Develop a journey plan with the database to ensure daily customer visits

  • Apply sales skills and marketing initiatives in converting potential customers/sales lead to paying customers/demand

  • Responsible for depletion of part of inventory of Crude, Bleached & Refined Oil from all warehouses to deliver revenue target

  • Understand how to retain customers through good customer relationship management

  • Ensure all Sales Payment is made into SAA bank account by customers

  • Develop & implement all tactical plans geared towards upselling, including depletion and branding activations

  • Executing appropriate activations and obtaining consumers' feedback for all new solutions.

  • Scan the environment weekly to understand the existing and emerging competitors play, dynamics, vulnerabilities and opportunities and report same to line manager

  • Weekly price monitoring of all SKU's & reporting, as well as other market drivers

  • Follow up with customer payment for both cash and credit customers, within stipulated lead times

  • Manage all customer issues towards building a sustainable relationship for growth.

  • Collaborate with Logistics and Accounts & QA to ensure delivery of quality products to customers and handling all customer complaints, where necessary

  • Any other job that may be assigned by the team line manager

  • Provides reports of functions on daily and weekly basis to line manager (Bus. Dev. Mgr.) & other Interested parties



Qualifications




  • Bachelor's Degree in a field such as Sales Management, or a related discipline.

  • Must have a minimum of 6 years’ experience in Sales management.

  • The candidate must possess industry experience in relevant commodity,

  • Possess mid-level managerial fitness fo understanding & driving strategic business goals.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Certification in NIMN/CIM will be an added advantage.
