Responsibilities

• Training workmen in HSE protocols before work start, training workmen in work methods to be applied in site work and quality checks, managing workmen, machines & contractors. Troubleshooting issues at site, to ensure smooth operations.


• Organizing Civil construction work as per construction planning, Construction drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).


• Ensuring material and work quality as per Field Quality Plans (FQPs).


• Co-ordinating with supply chain team to ensure material availability at site, carry out quantity surveys and maintain records, managing local structural fabrications and local logistics.


• Managing structure erection as per structure assembly drawings.


• Inspecting Contractors’ work and issuing work approval / rejection reports.

Requirements

• HND / B.Sc in Civil / Structural Engineering.


• 5 - 7 years experience in civil or structural engineer


• Must be willing to travel.


• Sound technical knowledge and experience, preferably in Solar power projects.


• Sound knowledge of construction equipment and construction planning.


• A Hands-on engineer - Should be adept at handling Construction / inspection tools himself when needed.


• A proven track record in industrial construction, preferably (but not necessarily) in power plant construction.
