We are seeking a skilled and experienced Generator Technician to join our team in Ibadan.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working on heavy-duty generators and will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of generators in both residential and commercial settings.
This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with generator systems.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair heavy-duty generators in accordance with company standards.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on generators to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues on generators.
Perform generator testing and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Respond to emergency repair requests and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
Ensure proper functioning of generator systems by conducting load testing and adjusting settings.
Communicate with clients to explain maintenance needs, repair processes, and provide recommendations.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and environmental standards.
Stay updated on the latest generator technologies and maintenance best practices.
Qualifications
Interested candidates should possess a BSc / HND in any relevant field
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with heavy-duty generators.
Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and fuel systems in generators.
Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing complex generator issues.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for generator testing and repairs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to adhere to them.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Relevant certifications or training in generator repair and maintenance is an advantage.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position with regular working hours.
Occasional emergency calls outside regular hours may be required.
