Job Description







  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of our health programs, providing clinical expertise, and ensuring high-quality healthcare services are delivered to our target populations.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Provide clinical guidance and support to program staff and community health workers.

  • Conduct medical assessments and screenings as needed.

  • Ensure adherence to medical protocols and best practices.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on the development and implementation of health programs.

  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Participate in the training and capacity building of community health workers.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health interventions.

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of health programs, ensuring medical accuracy and feasibility.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health interventions.

  • Participate in capacity-building activities for healthcare providers and community members.

  • Collaborate with local health authorities and other stakeholders to improve access to quality healthcare services.

  • Participate in advocacy efforts to address critical health issues.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the health sector.

  • Participate in relevant meetings and workshops.

  • Prepare reports and other documentation as required.

  • Contribute to the development of proposals and other funding applications.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.



Qualifications:




  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized university.

  • Current medical license to practice in Nigeria.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a public health or community-based setting.

  • Strong knowledge of maternal and child health issues in Nigeria.

  • Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

  • Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

  • Strong commitment to improving the health and well-being of women, infants, and children.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience working with NGOs or international development organizations.

  • Knowledge of research methodologies and data analysis software.

  • Experience in training and capacity building.

  • Fluency in local languages.

  • Training and facilitation skills.

  • Experience in proposal writing and grant management.
