Job Summary:



We are looking for a highly motivated individual with vast knowledge of  Commercial law and litigation experience to join us as a Senior Associate. The ideal Candidate will be able to handle complex corporate, commercial and litigation briefs efficiently. 



Key Responsibilities:




  • Handle complex litigation cases at the State and Federal High Courts, Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court.

  • Prepare briefs and other legal documents.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including but not limited to service agreements, shareholders' agreements, joint venture agreements, share sale and purchase agreements, loan agreements, and other types of commercial agreements.

  • Provide expertise in Technology law, Banking law, Property law and corporate restructuring to mention a few.



Qualifications and Experience:




  • At least 7 years of active post call experience in litigation, alternative dispute resolution and commercial law practice

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage.

  • Excellent drafting skills and command of the English language.

  • Strong experience in handling commercial transactions and writing opinions.

  • Excellent research skills, thoroughness, and diligence.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to work without supervision.
