Plan, execute, and oversee preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of all electrical systems, including generators, motors, switchgear, transformers, and control systems.
Participate in the design, installation, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
Diagnose electrical faults, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely repairs and restoration of systems.
Ensure all electrical systems comply with local and international standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical maintenance in line with knowledge of various types of electrical motor, control system, switch gear etc.
Professional certifications such as COREN (Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria), NSE (Nigerian Society of Engineers), or equivalent international certifications (e.g., IEEE, IET).
Advanced knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC). Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems used in oil and gas facilities, including HV/LV distribution, electrical protection systems, and instrumentation.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for complex electrical systems.
Ability to analyze technical data and operational trends to optimize system performance.
Ability to enforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
