Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant to handle accounting activities within the organization.
- Responsibilities include Prepares accounting and financial reports and ensures accurate accounting systems and record keeping. Controls the flow of funds, assets, and any valuable document throughout the organization/group and maintains the integrity and its information.
Main Job Description
As an Accountant, you shall be responsible for the following functions and more:
- Manage accounting transactions
- Forecasting and Budgeting
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely bank payments
- Handle petty cash and expenses
- Interphase with bank on behalf of the company.
- Prepare invoices and receipts
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Preparation of the company’s financial statement, present budgets, financial plans, business plans, feasibility studies, investment memoranda and all other financial and business documents as may be required.
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Capable of viewing and controlling multiple activities at a time. Timely, regularly and duly prepare and present the financial reports, and as deemed necessary and demanded from time to time
- Other related duties that will be assigned
- Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
- Experience with auditing principles and procedures, including financial statement audits and internal controls
- Proven experience in team work, with strong communication skills
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc in Accounting or any related field
- Must be ICAN or ACCA Certified (or both)
- 5+ years of Work experience as an Accountant
- Can handle multiple transactional accounts
- MS Excel skills
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Proximity within AMAC
