Job Description







  • The Account Officer is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, vendors, and financial institutions.

  • The officer will also provide support to the management team by delivering financial insights and recommendations to improve business operations.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Prepare Monthly Financial & Management Reports

  • Ensure that general ledger accounts are properly maintained

  • Ensure regular posting of general ledgers

  • Bank reconciliations and Journal postings

  • Prepare and deliver timely invoices

  • Follow up with account receivables/Debtors

  • Ensure timely payment of account payables/Creditors

  • Ensure regular filings & remittance of PAYE, Withholding tax, VAT



JOB REQUIREMENT




  • Minimum of a B.Sc./HND in Accounting or any related course.

  • Applicant should have minimum of 2 years work experience

  • Professional certification, i.e., ICAN/ACA is an advantage

  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP.



Skills and Competencies:




  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Team player with a positive attitude.
