Responsibilities



Duties and Responsibility



Functions / Day to day activities:




  • Conduct EORE sessions with community members, including IDPs, returnees, and refugees

  • Perform tasks assigned by the supervisor

  • Deliver key messages on explosive ordnance risks and safe behaviors

  • Engage with community members to promote awareness and understanding of EORE

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to the EORE team on community engagement and outreach

  • Participate in community events and activities to promote EORE awareness

  • And other responsibilities assign by the supervisor



Requirements:




  • Be a resident of northeast Nigeria (preferably from the local community)

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Be able to communicate effectively in local languages (e.g., Hausa, Kanuri)

  • Have a strong understanding of local customs and traditions

  • Be willing to work in a challenging and dynamic environment

  • Be committed to promoting explosive ordnance risk awareness and education



Desirable skills:




  • A demonstrated ability to multi-task and process information into action in a timely manner

  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and either Kanuri or Hausa.

  • Interpersonal Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships and maintaining effective communication with diverse community groups and stakeholders.

  • Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage and captivate an audience.

  • Organizational Competence: Outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
